1. Who We Are

courtdemy Limited ("courtdemy", "we", "us", "our") is registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17359443). Registered office: 12 Lakeside Rise, Manchester, England, M9 8QD.

Contact: hello@courtdemy.com

These Terms govern your access to the courtdemy Platform and all Services we provide.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account or purchasing Services, you confirm that:

• You have read and agree to these Terms
• You are at least 18 years old, or a parent/guardian acting on behalf of a child
• You have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement
• You accept the features and default settings of your account described in section 3B

If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

Where you register on behalf of a child under 18, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and accept full responsibility for their use of the Platform.

3A. Junior Accounts and Parental Consent

A child's profile can only be created by their parent or legal guardian, who must affirm their consent to the child's details being processed as described in our Privacy Policy. That affirmation is recorded against the child's profile at the moment it is created. A child aged 12 or over may be given their own login, created only by the parent from within the parent's account; younger children are managed entirely through the parent's account.

The parent remains responsible for the child's activity on the Platform, including bookings, enrolments and payments made on the child's behalf. Junior age bands follow the child's age and move automatically with their birthday.

courtdemy is a software platform. The clubs and coaches who run sessions are solely responsible for the supervision and safety of children in their care and for their own compliance with applicable safeguarding requirements. Nothing in these Terms transfers that responsibility to courtdemy.

3B. Your Account's Features and Default Settings

courtdemy is one product, and an account uses all of it. By registering you agree that your account starts with the following switched on, and you can change the ones marked as yours to change at any time in the app:

• Your player card. Your name, photo, coach-signed level, form and recent results are shown to members of the clubs you belong to, to the players in your matches, and to coaches at those clubs. This is how matches are found and levels mean something; it cannot be switched off while you belong to a club.
• Open matches. A match you open or join is listed on your club's board, in the club's dashboard, and in the apps of courtdemy's partner companies (see section 4, Partner apps), with your name, photo and level. Yours to change: the "Show me in partner apps" switch on your profile page hides your name, photo and matches from partner apps; your level stays visible.
• Coach-signed levels. A coach may sign your level after watching you play, at a Levelling session, at a Level Match, in a coaching group, or at your request. Signed levels and ranked results move your level and are recorded on your player card.
• Notifications. courtdemy sends push notifications and emails about your bookings, matches, sessions, levels, payments and messages. Yours to change: notification settings on your profile page and on your device.
• Messages. Every match, session and programme carries a chat with the people in it; you can also create groups, follow your clubs' channels and groups, talk to a club in your own thread with it, and the tournaments and leagues you enter have chats too. In a chat with an under-18, every message is checked before it shows. Yours to change: you can mute a chat, and report a message, a person or a group and block a person from within any chat.
• Payments. Courts, spots, lessons, credit packs, memberships and tournament and league entries are paid in the app and go to the club's, coach's or organiser's own payment account, as set out in sections 6 and 6C.
• Clubs and coaches you join. Joining a club or a coach's practice shares your profile, bookings and level with that club or coach so they can run their courts, groups and sessions. Joining a club makes you its member: the club receives your name, contact details, level and age band, and then your bookings, matches, entries and payments there, and uses them under its own privacy notice, including to contact you about the club. Yours to change: the "Offers from [club]" switch on the club's page in the app stops the club's offers; messages about your own bookings, matches and payments still reach you. A club never sends offers to a junior.

4. Our Services

The Platform hosts padel coaching programmes and private lessons offered by clubs and independent coaches.

Private lessons are booked through the app and confirmed by the coach, either as a single session or as a weekly series. Each coach sets their own lesson pricing, which may vary by lesson length, number of players, and peak or off-peak times. Programme availability, schedules, pricing, and capacity are subject to change.

The Platform provides training videos, progress tracking, messaging, session scheduling, and tournament information as a convenience, subject to availability.

courtdemy Compete. Tournament and league organisers run their events on courtdemy through courtdemy Compete. Section 6C sets out what applies when you enter one, and section 6D what applies to organisers.

Partner apps. courtdemy may make open matches and public player cards (name, photo, coach-signed level, and the open matches a player is in) available to partner apps through courtdemy Bridge, as described in the Privacy Policy. Joining a match always happens in courtdemy, under the club's own rules. Sharing with partner apps is on for every account from registration (section 3B); you can switch it off at any time on your profile page.

5. Enrolment and Waiting Lists

Enrolment in a programme is a binding agreement to participate and pay for that monthly cycle. Places are not guaranteed until confirmed and payment received.

Waiting list positions are allocated in registration order. Conversion of a waiting list place to enrolment is not guaranteed.

For monthly programmes, you will be notified of the deadline to confirm your place for the following month. Failure to confirm by the deadline may result in your place being offered elsewhere.

6. Fees and Payment

Each coach sets the currency of their practice, and all of that coach's prices (lessons, programmes, credit packs and vouchers) are shown and payable in that currency, inclusive of VAT where applicable. courtdemy does not convert between currencies; if you pay a coach whose currency differs from your bank's, any conversion is performed by your bank or card issuer on their terms. Payment is due in advance of programme commencement or session delivery.

Depending on the coach or programme, available payment methods can include card payment, bank transfer, cash, or lesson credits (section 6A), with payment confirmed in the app. We do not store your card details. Card payments are processed by Stripe directly into the coach's own account. Coaches may save bank account details for receiving payments; these are shown only to students booking with that coach.

Your place is not confirmed until payment is received and verified. Recurring charges apply only to a subscription you choose to start, such as courtdemy Premium (section 6B).

6A. Lesson Credits and Vouchers

Coaches may sell prepaid lesson credit ("Credits") in packs, and Credits may also be issued as single-use voucher codes ("Vouchers").

A PROMISE FROM YOUR COACH, NOT FROM US
Credits are a prepayment to a specific coach for that coach's services. When you buy a pack, your payment goes to the coach through the payment methods above; courtdemy records the resulting balance but does not hold, pool or transmit the money and is not a party to the transaction. Your credit balance is an obligation of the coach concerned, and claims regarding unused Credits lie against that coach. We will provide reasonable assistance, including your full transaction record.

HOW CREDITS BEHAVE
Credits are denominated in the coach's currency and are spendable only on that coach's services. When you book a lesson with Credits, the price is held from your balance and only kept once the coach accepts; if the request is declined, expires, or the lesson is cancelled in accordance with section 7, the amount returns to your balance automatically. Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase, spent oldest first; credit older than 12 months expires.

VOUCHERS, GIFTS AND TRANSFERS
Where the coach has enabled it, you may gift Credits, transfer Credits to another player of the same coach's practice, or convert balance into a Voucher code you can share inside or outside the app (including as a QR code). Vouchers are single-use, valid for 12 months, and redeemable by any account holder who is, or on redemption becomes, a member of that coach's practice. You may cancel a Voucher you created before it is redeemed; its value returns to your balance. A transferred Voucher that is never redeemed returns to its sender at expiry. Once redeemed, a Voucher's value belongs to the redeemer.

Credits and Vouchers have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash from courtdemy, and may not be resold commercially. Statutory rights are unaffected.

6B. courtdemy Premium

courtdemy Premium is an optional subscription for players, sold as a monthly or a yearly plan through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. It adds features to your player account, such as your full level history, alerts when a spot at your level opens, your opponents' form before you take a spot, a monthly summary of your play, the Premium mark on your player card and Ask courtdemy, the support assistant inside the app. What each plan includes is shown in the app before you subscribe.

PRICE AND PAYMENT
The price and the length of each plan are shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase. Where a free trial is offered, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before it ends.

AUTOMATIC RENEWAL
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in force, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.

CANCELLING
You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings (on an iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your courtdemy account does not cancel a subscription held with Apple or Google.

REFUNDS
Premium is paid to Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them under their own policies. Statutory rights are unaffected.

APPLE'S TERMS
If you subscribe through the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.

6C. Tournaments and Leagues Run by Organisers

WHO RUNS THEM
Tournaments and leagues on courtdemy Compete are run by their organisers, not by courtdemy. Each organiser sets its event's categories, format, fees, refund rule and prizes, shows them on the event before you enter, and runs the event. Your entry is an agreement between you and the organiser; courtdemy provides the Platform.

ENTERING
You can enter a category with a partner or alone, and at most two categories of one tournament. A partner you invite is asked in the app and is in once they say yes; you can pay for both places, or each of you pays your own. Players who enter alone are paired by level when entries close; if nobody is left to pair you with, your place is cancelled and any card payment comes back in full. A category with a level range accepts a level signed by a verified coach, or a level earned in 10 or more confirmed competitive matches. Tournaments run by organisers are for players aged 18 and over for now; a league may accept younger players from the age its organiser sets, and only with a linked parent's yes.

PAYING AND PLACES
Entry fees are paid to the organiser's own payment account, in the organiser's currency. A place is held for 20 minutes while you pay by card, and goes back if it is not paid by then. When a category is full you can join its waiting list: when a place opens you are told and, if it has a fee, you have 12 hours to pay for it before it moves on. Where the organiser takes cash, you pay at the desk.

WITHDRAWING AND REFUNDS
You can withdraw in the app before the draw is made (an entry not paid by card, before entries close); after that, only the organiser can withdraw you. A card payment is refunded by the organiser's refund rule, shown on the event: in full until entries close, in full until the draw, or no refund. If the organiser removes your entry or cancels the event, your card payment comes back in full. A place the Platform cancels (a player left without a partner when entries close, or an invite that went unanswered or was declined after it was paid for) is refunded in full automatically. Cash is refunded by the organiser.

THE DAY, RESULTS AND LEVELS
The organiser publishes the draw and the schedule, and the app tells you when your match is called. One side enters the score and the other confirms it; the organiser, or a league's committee, decides a disputed score and may give a walkover. Results, tables, places and rankings are shown to the other players of the event and on the event's screen at the venue. Results of categories that count for levels, and of league matches, move your courtdemy level; social formats and walkovers do not. Prizes are paid by the organiser, outside courtdemy.

CHATS
A tournament and a league each have chats for the players in them, where the organiser posts as its page. Section 8 applies to everything you write there.

6D. Organisers (courtdemy Compete)

THE ACCOUNT
You run tournaments and leagues from courtdemy Compete at courtdemy.com/compete, with your player account or with an organiser account, which only organises. There is no monthly fee. Apart from courtdemy League, courtdemy charges only the fee in OUR FEE below. courtdemy League is an extra you add yourself in Settings › Billing: 97 lei, £47, €47, US$47 or C$67 a month in your page's currency, paid by card through Stripe each month until you cancel. When you cancel, it stays on until the end of the month you've paid for. courtdemy may also give it to a page free.

YOUR PAGE AND YOUR EVENTS
courtdemy approves every organiser page before it opens and again before it takes entry fees, and may pause or hide a page where these Terms are broken or players are at risk. You are responsible for what your page and your events say, for running your events fairly and safely, for your venue and its courts, for the prizes you offer and pay, and for any cash you take. If you play in your own events, you never decide a match you play in, or a league decision about your own team: someone else running the page with you does.

ENTRY FEES AND YOUR STRIPE ACCOUNT
Players pay entry fees by card to your own Stripe account, which you open from your console. Stripe's terms apply to that account, and Stripe's card and dispute fees on your payments are yours. courtdemy holds no player money. To protect players against fraud, and so that refunds can be paid, courtdemy may hold the money in your Stripe balance until your event starts (a tournament's or a league's first day) and then pays it out to your bank.

OUR FEE
courtdemy's fee is 3% of each tournament's total registration fees, and of each league's team fees. It is taken from you, never added to what players pay:
• on card payments, as an application fee when each payment is made;
• on cash entries, counted when the tournament starts (every cash entry in the draw, whether or not you recorded it as paid) and taken from your Stripe balance then, or as soon as card payments still on their way reach it (within 7 days).
Card comes first: a tournament takes a cash entry only while the card payments made for it stay ahead of its cash entries, so courtdemy's fee on cash can come out of that tournament's card money. To take cash, your page must be approved and you must accept these terms for cash in your console. While one of your tournaments that takes cash is coming up, your payouts are held until it starts. If a fee can't be collected, your payouts stay held, the fee is taken from your balance as money becomes available (your next card payments included), and you can't take cash until it is paid.

YOUR AUTHORISATION
By running paid events on courtdemy Compete, you authorise courtdemy to debit your Stripe balance for courtdemy's fees as this section describes, each time a fee falls due and without asking you again. This authorisation lasts while your page takes entry fees and until every fee due on its events has been paid.

REFUNDS
A player who withdraws is refunded by your refund rule, shown on the event, and courtdemy's fee on that payment is not returned. You can cancel an event until it starts; a cancelled event stays in your console as a record. If you remove an entry or cancel an event, every card payment involved is refunded in full and courtdemy's fee on it is returned to you. A place the Platform cancels (a player left without a partner when entries close, or an invite that went unanswered or was declined after it was paid for) is refunded in full, and courtdemy's fee on it is returned to you. Refunds are paid from your Stripe balance.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

PRIVATE LESSONS
You may cancel a booked lesson up to 24 hours before its scheduled start time. Within 24 hours of the start, lessons can no longer be cancelled and fees are non-refundable. You may withdraw a pending lesson request at any time before the coach confirms it. Lessons paid with Credits follow the same rules, and any amount due back is returned to your credit balance automatically.

RESCHEDULES
Either party may propose a new time for a booked lesson. The reschedule takes effect only when the other party accepts it; until then the lesson remains at its original time.

GROUP PROGRAMMES
Once a monthly group programme has commenced, no refunds will be issued for that cycle regardless of attendance.

CANCELLATION BEFORE START
Cancellations before a programme commences may be eligible for a full or partial refund at our discretion.

CANCELLATION BY THE CLUB OR COACH
If a session is cancelled by the club or coach, you will be notified promptly and provided a credit or refund for undelivered sessions. We are not liable for additional costs (e.g. travel) you incur.

To request a refund, contact hello@courtdemy.com. Eligible refunds are processed within 10 working days.

8. Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree to:
• Treat all coaches, staff, and participants with respect
• Follow all reasonable instructions from club and coaching staff
• Not engage in bullying, harassment, or discrimination
• Not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Platform

You must not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, upload harmful content, impersonate others, or share your login credentials.

In chats, you must not share another person's contact details or private information, or send anything sexual, threatening, bullying or hateful. Reports are reviewed first by an automated review and then, where needed, by courtdemy. courtdemy may hide a message, mute you in a chat for 24 hours, warn you, stop you using chats for 30 days or for good, or remove you from a group, and you can appeal a decision.

courtdemy may suspend or terminate your account and remove you from programmes, without refund, for serious or persistent breach of these Terms.

9. Health, Safety, and Physical Activity

By participating, you confirm you are medically fit for physical sporting activity. If you have any medical condition, injury, or disability that may affect safe participation, you must inform us before taking part.

Physical sporting activity carries inherent risks of injury. You accept that your participation is at your own risk.

Clubs and coaches delivering sessions through the Platform are responsible for holding appropriate public liability insurance. We strongly recommend all participants obtain their own personal accident insurance.

In the event of injury, inform the coach or a member of club staff immediately.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including training videos, programme materials, the courtdemy name and logo, text, graphics, and software, is owned by or licensed to courtdemy Limited or the relevant club or coach.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

courtdemy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss or damage.

Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to courtdemy in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@courtdemy.com. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we cease to operate the Platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before commencing legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at hello@courtdemy.com to resolve any dispute informally.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
