Mexicano padel: the rules and the pairings.

Mexicano is an Americano where the table picks the games. Round 1 goes by level; after that, partners and opponents come from the standings, so the games get closer as the night goes on.

8 to 32players, four to a court
1 & 4 v 2 & 3on every court
16 to 32points a game

How it works

The table picks every game after the first.

  1. Round 1 goes by level: the four strongest on court 1, the next four on court 2, and so on.
  2. On each court, 1st and 4th play 2nd and 3rd.
  3. Every point you win goes on your total, as in an Americano.
  4. From round 2 the standings decide: the top four on court 1, the next four on court 2.
  5. The more points you win, the higher the court you play on.
  6. Most points at the end wins. Level on points: most wins, then the points difference.

On every court

The four players, ranked by the table.

1 4 2 3

Ranks add up to 5 on both sides, so the game starts even.

The three pairings

Four players, three ways to split them.

Every Mexicano groups four players by the table. Clubs then split the four in one of three ways. courtdemy uses the first.
